Loren Pov

Our geography teacher left the class when the short break bell was rang; some student went out to have their break while few were left in the classroom. I and Victoria didn’t go for break we were both chatting about many things and how we spend our holiday. Victoria has been my best friend since my junior school days we do things together, play together and she is always there for me I love her so much and she also does.

Victoria: Dubai is very beautiful I really love all the tall buildings there. In fact I and David (Her senior brother) really enjoy ourselves there

Me: Really?

Victoria: Yes oo. Ehn ehn lemme gist you self she said lowing her voice, I meet a new male friend at Dubai his name is Stephen, he is so handsome and also cute.

Me: hmmm this one you are admiring him like this hope you both have not been dating cause if Amos know he will be mad at you. “Amos is Victoria boyfriend, there started dating when they are in JSS3”.

Victoria: No oo we are not dating oo, but Stephen ask me out but I didn’t accept, you know I love Amos so much and I can’t leave him.

Me: I even trust you self I know you can’t do that I said smiling at her.

Victoria: Have not even seen Amos this Morning maybe he didn’t come to school today she said looking so worried.

Me: I suggest you should go and check him in his class

Victoria: Will you escort me

Me: oooh you know I don’t like going out during short break

Victoria: Pls na she said holding my hands

Me: Okay but on one condition

Victoria: What that?

Me: You are going to kiss me, I said laughing

Victoria: You are not serious oo I said laughing, we are not a lesbian na let’s go joor I said lifting her up.

Me: Oya let’s go I said. We are almost exiting the classroom when the bell was rang again, thank God at last we are not going again I said looking at Victoria who was looking pissed off. We quickly ran to our seat when we saw the English teacher coming out from her staff room. She is walking so fast holding some books and a cane while everyone in the classroom sit down quietly.

The English lesson class went well she teaches us for 45 minutes and she leave the class while the other teachers came and left. It is now long break some student has gone to cafeteria and some went to field. I and Victoria went to Amos class, Amos is in SS2 science, we walk pass Anita class but I didn’t see her in the class so we move on to Amos class. We didn’t see him in class but we saw his friend Michael who was about to leave the class.

Victoria: Michael what sup?

Michael: Am cool, how you doing

Victoria: Am fine, I came here to see Amos is he in class?

Michael: No he did not come to school today and have been trying his number since but it’s not going through

Victoria: I also call his number this morning also it rang but he didn’t pick up

Michael: Don’t worry he will surely come tomorrow.

Me: maybe you should check on him at home when we close

Michael: Ah Loren you are here I didn’t see you since o. How you doing?   

Me: Am fine oo, hope you enjoy your holiday

Michael: yes thank you. Where are you guys going now?

Victoria: going to cafeteria of course

Michael: ok let’s go together

We order for our food and find an empty table to eat, we are eating our food silently, I notice Michael was staring at me but I just ignore it. We eat our food peacefully and Michael pays the bill we thank him and went back to our class.

Ohh thank God we already close for the day I said when I heard the school bell being rang, I pack my bag while Victoria also pack her own. We both walk to the school gate, I wait for Anita at the gate and wave Victoria bye she said she is going to branch at Amos house. Not long after Anita and her friend arrive they talk and chat for 20 minutes before she wave her friends bye. Our driver is already waiting for us. Anita seat at the front seat while I seat at the back, the driver start the engine and drove off.

Mr. Smith POV

Am Mr. Smith, Anita and Loren father. My wife just died few months ago which was the painful part of my life. She was kidnapped by some assassin, while she was trying to escape she was killed during the process and her dead body was thrown inside a river. Through the investigation did by the police we were able to caught them. They are now detained in the prison receiving their punishment. The painful part of it is that we didn’t even see her dead body

PRESENT

The plane landed at Dubai at 11 o clock am, I lodge at one of the biggest hotel there. They are also many people who also came for the contract am here for, I just pray I get this contract. We have a dinner meeting at 7 o clock pm.

It was already 6:30 I decided to call Anita to hear about them so I pick up my phone and dial her number

Me: Hello Anita, How you during?

Anita: Am fine sir, how is your trip? Anita said while I hear Loren voice saying is that dad

Me: Thank God, trip is fine oo. Is that not Loren please give her the phone I need to talk to my baby

Loren Hello dad, Is not good oo, you traveled without telling me anything.

Me: Am sorry dear, you already sleeping so I don’t want to disturb you. Don’t worry I will buy some dress and shoe for you when coming back.

Loren: Thank you dad

Anita: Dad, don’t do partial there you are going to buy something for me too she said shouting.

Me: Don’t worry I will buy for both of you, just pray for me I should win the contract am here for

Anita and Loren: Ok dad I pray you win the contract oo they both shout together

Ok thanks; take good care of yourself and the house oo I said and hang up to get ready for the dinner meeting.
